Admission to Nursery
All 3 and 4 year old children are entitled to 15 hours free (Government funded) nursery education per week for 38 weeks of the year.
Children attend our nursery for 3 hours per day Monday to Friday (universal 15 hour entitlement) or 5 whole days (extended 30 hour entitlement depending on eligibility).

Parents are most welcome to visit our School prior to putting their child’s name on our nursery waiting list. Please contact School to arrange a mutually convenient time. Please take a look at our Nursery page
Admission to Reception
Admissions to school for children of reception age or above are co-ordinated by Derbyshire County Council
If your child was born between the first of September 2019 and the 31st August 2020 you should apply for their primary School place by the 15th January 2024. Applications open from the 6th November and you should apply online at https://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/education/schools/school-places/apply-for-a-school-place.aspx . An application can also be made by telephoning Call Derbyshire on 08456 058 058 or 01629 533190.
Parents wishing to visit Calow Primary prior to making an application should contact our School on 01246 274370 to arrange an appointment.
Other Year Group Admissions (In-Year Applications)
If your child needs to move School at any other time, maybe because of moving address, an application for an ‘In Year’ admission should be made to Derbyshire County Council.
