Welcome

Mrs McDonald along with teaching assistants Mrs Owen and Mrs Pratt are excited to welcome you to Reception Class.   Mrs Freeman teaches on a Thursday morning.

 

We have a special PE session each week where we use the hall or our top pen.  You can wear PE kits to school on a Monday.  We are also very active in our outside area so having wellies in school means you can go out in all weathers. 

 

Everyone has a Busy Book in Reception Class.  You are able to tell us any special news and achievements in this book and we can share it with your friends in class.  We will also send some information about our key learning  each week on a Friday, so please bring your busy book to school on a Thursday so we can stick it in. 

 

Once you know some of the letter sounds we learn in phonics you will start bringing a reading home for you to practice with your adults.  Your adults can write in your reading diary to let us know how you are doing.
